🚲 How to start a cycling group
A social ride group should be clear about distance, pace and surface before anyone signs up. Start with a no-drop ride on bike paths or quiet roads, where the group waits at turns. Meet somewhere with space to gather, check tyres and brakes, and agree hand signals. Helmets and lights should be standard. Choose a café or park as a midway stop. Have one experienced rider at the front and another at the back. Post the route in advance so people can judge it for themselves.
