📷 How to start a photography group

A photography group can meet for photo walks, so all anyone needs is a camera or a phone. Choose a route with variety, like a park, an old street or a waterfront, and give the walk a theme such as reflections, colour or people at work. Set a time and place to regroup. Remind members to respect privacy: ask before photographing people up close, and never photograph children without a parent's permission. Afterwards, share a few favourites each in an online album or over coffee and talk about what worked. Beginners learn quickly by seeing how others framed the same scene.
